Space Program - Posted on December 16th, 2010

Maybe this serie should have been shot on Mars. At least outdoor. But this season's clothing isn't a match with NASA space suits in matters of thermo resistance…

11th issues later, they came back. Impressed by what this magazine has become in a few time. I couldn't remember the interview and I was shocked: i'm almost saying something interesting.

Kimono Club - Posted on September 9th, 2010

From the creation of the storyboard to the shooting of the final pictures, Kimono Club for wallpaper brand Hookedonwalls was tremendous. Magnificent papers, extraordinary people. What else could I ask for? More time to shoot an actual making of video? Maybe...

Kimono Club by Hookedonwalls - shot by Lionel Samain. Making of.

On Hookedonwalls website, you'll find goodies such as desktop wallpapers from the campaign. Fast and easy to hang up.

That kind of things, anyway, come from the mess on my desk.

Keep calm and carry on, there is no virus found on this page.

I'm Not Here - Posted on February 14th, 2010

But i wish you were there.

A serie made with an authentic brave model fighting the rude winter of North Brussels.

My wife told me I'm a sadistic person, because I 'm setting this photoshoot outdoor in plain winter. How is it my fault that Fashion presents summer trends during january? I had an answer for that: I did have a blanket prepared for the model.

Rendez-vous - Posted on February 3rd, 2010

Sometime, I wish i could recycle everything I used. At first this serie was named "Invisible Monsters", quoting novelist Chuck Palahniuk. Eventually it turned itself into a rendez-vous of Some months ago pictures meeting today's. With some drops ofunconscious mind.

End Title: 2009

It's been a while since I wrote something here. It feels like there is not much to remember of this past year,

but I remember, I went a couple of time in Zurich and experienced a slice of architecture photography and missed most of the city.

I remember I went to China for an exhibition in Beijing. My square pictures framed in cubes in a commercial street of some megapolis.

I've met sympathic people and had good diners, thank you.

But I remember I've shot Michelle Leonard 's first album cover. It's impressive to observe a close friend reaching the fame she deserves.

I remember I went a couple time in the US as well.

I remember I spend a lot of time drawing automatic drawings.

I remember 2009 took my mum

A city of Love and Hate. - Posted on January 18th, 2010

Since a few month, I've traded an nice camera I really liked but I didn't use anymore for a quite old and used vespa (1979, actually), in its beautiful dented uncertain blueish dress. My very pride on the street of Paris, cute, conforting and practical. Cruising across the city reveals at last how beautiful Paris can be. But remains, of course a place of Love and… Hate, as I discovered it in the front box of my poor vespa:

for non french speaking readers:

- "I run into you every morning and every time my heart misses a bit. You are my sunshine. I love you."

-"Park this piece of shit somewhere else!"
